After traveling to South Africa last summer, I find myself further intrigued by the visual vocabulary of animal symbolism and exotic ephemera. At times on the trip I couldn’t tell if I was more intrigued with the flora and fauna or the graphics on a soda can or sardine tin, it was all so beautiful and different.
This latest body of work, Animus, is a visual mash up of that trip and the one I take every day in my yard, on my computer or out on the town looking for whatever the world wants to show me.
